Welcome to the Parks & Recreation page for the City of Burton. We hope you will watch the calendar for events. We have five parks in the City of Burton currently with another one proposed in our five-year plan.
PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION SEEKS YOUR INPUT
The City of Burton recognizes a need for improving our community’s parks & recreation options and promoting our City as a quality, sustainable place to live and play. This stems from the growing trends in recreation options and the desire to be active, healthy, and conscious of the environment, regardless of age, abilities, or disabilities.
To reach this goal, we are updating our Parks & Recreation Master Plan to reflect what you, as a resident or visitor, would love to see in our community. For your convenience, there are several ways to provide your feedback… and please be sure to tell your friends and family!
1) Attend a public workshop on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. at Burton City Hall in the Council Chambers, 4303 S. Center Rd., Burton, MI 48519. This interactive workshop will be both fun and informative.
2) Take our quick on-line survey by clicking here: Parks & Recreation Survey
3) Obtain a paper copy of the survey on the community information table in the lobby at City Hall (at the address above)
4) Email the City’s Parks and Recreation Director, Sue Warren with your comments at email@example.com
Please Act Now! Surveys and Public Comments will be accepted until August 31, 2018. The draft plan will be available for public viewing this fall so please stay tuned for future notices.
