BOIL ORDER LIFTED - City of Burton

City of Burton/Davison Township Boil Order Notice — Update # 2

December 31, 2017 4:30 a.m. Update

Genesee County WWS announces, as of 4:30 a.m. Sunday, December 31st, the Boil Order for the City of Burton and Davison Township has been lifted. The precautionary order was issued for these two communities after a temporary loss of water pressure occurred Friday morning. Water pressure was quickly restored, and 48 hours of testing shows the water in those areas continues to meet normal established parameters for safe drinking water. The results for the last of the required testing were received by our office early this morning. Based on these results, and in accordance with DEQ regulations, the order has been lifted.

Genesee County WWS appreciates the patience and understanding exhibited by the residents of these communities throughout the past two days. Drain Commissioner Jeff Wright would also like to thank all Genesee County employees who worked tirelessly around the clock, ensuring the continued safety of our water supply, and providing the quickest possible restoration of normal water use to all residents.

If anyone has additional questions about their water quality, please contact Mark Horgan or Jim Thompson at Genesee County Water and Waste Services, at 810 732-7870.
