Welcome to the Parks & Recreation page for the City of Burton. We hope you will watch the calendar for events.  We have five parks in the City of Burton currently with another one proposed in our five-year plan.

Water Tower Park
is located on Bristol Road next door to the water tower and Fire Station #1. It is a small playground park. It has a playscape, drinking fountain, and picnic tables. This park is geared toward toddler/pre-school age children.

Fireman’s Park  is located at Lapeer & Belsay Roads next to Fire Station #2. This park also has a playscape with picnic tables, benches and a pavilion.

Veteran’s Memorial Park is located on Manor Drive just east of the police station, it has a pavilion, picnic tables and drinking fountain.

Kelly Lake Park is located off Lapeer Road west of Genesee Road. Many people enjoy this park for walking, nature watching, and fishing.  It has a sledding hill for winter enjoyment.  There is also a fishing dock, pavilions, boat launch and beach.

Settlement Park located off Thread Creek Boulevard is under development.  This park is located along Thread Creek.

The Parks & Recreation Commission plans many activities throughout the year for various age groups such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Memorial Day Parade, Trick or Treat Trail, Christmas Decorating Contest, Christmas Tree Lighting and Pizza with Santa.

Daily Pavilion rentals (Kelly Lake and Veteran's Memorial) are available. A deposit of $100 is required. $50.00 will be returned after your event. Call the City Clerk's Office for reservations at (810)743-1500.

We hope you will join us at the various events either by volunteering or participating. For more information or to participate in any of the Parks & Recreation events please email Amy Clous at [email protected]
